What can a collaboration announcement establish?
A company announcement can establish that the company disclosed a collaboration on a specific date and identify the parties, project scope, and terms stated in it. To assess whether a model works for a task, read its methods and validation. To assess clinical results, read the relevant study. Connecting these materials over time shows how far a collaboration has progressed.
A dated historical example
On January 7, 2024, Isomorphic Labs announced two collaborations with Eli Lilly and Novartis, described as small-molecule collaborations across multiple targets with upfront and milestone payments. When reading these reports, separate confirmed upfront payments from milestones payable only when conditions are met. Potential total value must not be presented as cash already received, and two different collaborations must not be combined into a delivered R&D result.

How do model, experimental, and clinical evidence connect?
The AlphaFold 3 paper provides a method and evaluation for predicting structures of biomolecular interactions. Even if a partner uses a structural model, the paper’s structure accuracy cannot replace experimental or clinical results for that collaboration. ClinicalTrials.gov can be used to inspect study registrations and results. A registration does not mean results are available or that the platform has validated every scientific claim of the study.
